First off if you want pretty hair, DO NOT BLEACH. I don’t care what your hairdresser says, bleaching is bad for your hair period. If your hair is any shade of blonde, fantasy colors will turn out fine with a little hard work and patience. If your hair is brown, you will have to use darker fantasy colors. The trick is to use a high-quality hair color and leave it on for at least 6 hours. For my roots, I use a thin brush and lightly paint my roots and leave it on and go out. If you use a light touch, no one will know you have color in your hair and you can walk around with it on for a couple of days or until you shampoo your hair. It’s amazing! No salon can give you this kind of attention-it’s not profitable for them and they simply do not have the time. All hairdressers will tell you that you have to bleach, but that’s only because they want you as their regular client and they know they have limited time. The problem with this scenario is this, fantasy colors wash out and you could pay a hefty price tag depending on how long your hair is and that’s NOT ONCE A MONTH, it’s once every two weeks and you can’t shampoo your hair any more than once a week. If you do it yourself at home, you can add color every time you shampoo to keep it fresh. I do my hair every time I shampoo and it’s so cheap too. If you use high-quality hair products that are free of chemicals, your color will last longer and your hair will be dazzling and healthy.
